The twin engine DA 42 TDI Twin Star, with four seats introduced revolutionary standards into the category of light twin engine aeroplanes up to the collective weight of 2000 kg. The Twin Star is the successor of the successful single-engine aeroplane DA 40 TDI. The aeroplane is suitable for the training of pilots with ambitions for professional flights, since the logic and new technology of the two “multi-purpose displays” Garmin G1000 are familiar if not similar to the big modern commercial and passenger aeroplanes. Because of its low operating expenses and it’s safe and simple operation the Twin Star is suitable for private business flying.
